Character not saving anymore?

hey all...

Got a small problem...for some reason my game has stopped saving.. I haven't modded anything in a while or changed any settings and its been fine up until now.. I've got to green park and beyond but it keeps reverting back to the last green park save.. no matter how far i get to... also I haven't been given the cube...and can't seem to get it.


Engineer in Nightmare.


Any help appreciated..

Hm... maybe one of the patches/mods failed to install correctly... did you already try reinstalling them?

no..haven't changed anything in a while... but has just started doing it.

Is the savegame set to "write-protected"? The only reasons for this problem I know of are when you hex a character/use a hexed character or when game files are damaged, that's why I'd recomment a Revival patch reinstall just to make absolutelly sure. WHat about other characters, are they ok?

Have checked the save files, none are write protected.. have re-installed mods and it will save changes to the charecter i.e weapon changes, mods and stuff in inventory but has thrown up the same quest again after finishing it...not sure what else i can do...

what quest is it? that might be a reoccurring quest. Does the quest giver have a ??

its the green park quests in nightmare.. ive managed to do the first of the 3 main quests and it saved okay.. i did the second in death streets(i think) then i did the third and it reverted back to the second quest again..

giving me a headache now..lol

You have nothing to lose by doing a re-install at this point. None of us our spinning our wheels like this with lost save points, so I gotta think your install is geeked. Re-installing sucks but in the long run it will save you time and frustration. If that doesn't work then you know you have got a real brainer of a bug on your hands.

This is actually a documented issue from days of old.
Best tip I can give, is listen to earlier statements and re-install.
